Anthropologie

Ever since I lived in New York I've been not so quietly obsessed with Anthropolgie, what got me started was their array of colourful, textural and downright pretty knobs. With the Australian dollar on a high against the US I was drawn back to their website - here's a few - ok a lot of the knobs, hooks and light switches that I love and really have no use for.

For me - not surprisingly it's all about the homewares, store windows and merchandising - their garments have never been my thing - but maybe that's just because I always get distracted by the door knobs.

More Market Lane goodness..

Baked goodness

The dream team Fleur and Jason.

I just love seeing Fleur's name come up on my phone - she always calls with the best projects for me to work on. Last week was no different when she called to organise another photo shoot at her cafe Market Lane. I enlisted the photographic talent of Tony Mott and away we were- here's some of my picks from the day.

Fermob

I can't get enough of the French outdoor bistro furniture by Fermob. Fermob has been producing the same pieces since 1889 - incredible. These classic designs are available in the most addictive range of colours - like the carrot (above) hot pink, yellow, blue, green, grey to just begin..they are begging thrown together in a mish mash of clashing colours. I'm ordering a carrot table with hot pink chairs for an inner city apartment I am working on. It's the perfect time of the year to be ordering bright outdoor furniture.

IMAGE: Taken on my blackberry at Sardine cafe, Armadale.
The Fermob is now available in the new Cotswold Furniture, High St Armadale.

Potier is a new retail space dedicated to the work of local Australian ceramic artists located in Albert Park. Owner Judith Buckeridge saw the need for local artists to have a space to show their works - and encourages people to turn towards hand-made objects to be part of their everyday. I totally get it - I recently invested in some Samantha Robinson ceramic coffee cups, and it really makes my coffee more enjoyable. I love holding the irregular shaped cup in my hands. It's funny if I know I'm having a cup on the go I just go for my regular cup, but if I'm taking the time to sit and enjoy I always use my hand-made cup. Try it for yourself and see!

A shop called Moth - Spring Window

Here's a snap of the new Spring window I did for A Shop Called Moth. I hung about 15 old bottles from the ceiling last night and this morning fresh from the market will be delivered, we'll place single stem flowers in each bottle. No better way to celebrate the sunshine than with flowers.
