So as you'll have noticed I've been really neglecting my blog these past few months and spending rather a lot of time over on Facebook and Instagram. I've been working behind the scenes with Swear Words on rebranding my business and all the formats will be updated in time. So follow me over on Facebook, Instagram and keep checking back over at my new website as it will be relaunched shortly.

Sale sign for A Shop Called Moth
This month I used for the first time a laser cutter to create this months sign for A Shop Called Moth. The possibilities with laser cutting are endless and this is something I want to use again and again. I wanted to do something unique, so I opted to handwrite the text, once this was traced and exported into the appropriate artwork file (thanks Emily) we sent it off to the very clever Linda at Melbourne Laser Cutters who laser cut the file out of MDF. The result was so perfectly imperfect, all the bumpy lines from the handwriting and charred edges from the laser, it smells like an bonfire! Next, it was time to wrap each letter in a rainbow of coloured wool, I underestimated just how long this would take, and 6 hours later it was complete and ready to hang.

Moss @ Moth
Walk into A Shop Called Moth this month and you'll think you've walked deep into a rainforest. The smell is intoxicating due to my most recent installation in the window which I've filled with moss.

Matthew Hilton desk
Just secured this amazing Matthew Hilton 'Orson' desk for a residential project. It's an incredible piece - solid steel legs that work in with the custom steel I used elsewhere in the house. Thrilled.

Rannunculus
Today I planted 110 Ranunculus bulbs in the garden - here's hoping they're in full bloom come Spring time.
