99 bottles
As someone who has the most ridiculous collection of glass bottles, I totally get why the girls at Lightly have created their range '99 bottles'. 99 bottles is inspired by the often overlooked everyday bottles we come across, be it our capers, soy sauce, tomatoes, pickles or jam jars. I for one can not throw out any glass jars or bottles, they're too beautiful and so handy and such a shame to simply throw away. I've used them in so many interior projects - see here and here. The girls at Lightly have cast antique bottles, showing off their beautiful embossing and detail. They make a great table top addition and perfect for a little floral display or a simple white vignette.
Collect your own used glass vessels or else buy these lovely porcelain versions.
99bottles are available from Lightly online or visit them in their new showroom in Collingwood
3 Glasshouse Rd, Collingwood.
Inspiration - China.
I'm currently designing a small speciality coffee roastery in China - and I'm at the fun part where I'm pulling together loads of reference imagery. Expect to see a lot more inspiration like this in the next few weeks.

Convoy
There's a mind-blowing amount of great internet resources for image sourcing - the list grows daily, today I was introduced to the goodness of Pinterest and I'm finding my way around Tumblr. I thought I'd share some of the goodness I found on the Convoy tumblr - really, really tight collection of images (nice layout and navigation illustrations too). I have layout envy.

Photo Op
For a very long time I have been wanting to use the old spiral staircase at the Abottsford Convent in a photo shoot. Looks like I've found just the occaision. Em, you're totally having your wedding photo on the staircase, it's a done deal!
Wedding flowers
I feel honoured to have been asked to help one of my darling friends style her wedding in April at the incredible Abottsford Convent. She's such a down to earth and lovely girl, that simplicity will be key! Already thinking back to this display I did for A Shop Called Moth for inspiration.

CONFETTISYSTEM
Pinata's anyone?
There's no better way to kick start the year of blogging than with the super fun work of CONFETTISYSTEM. CONFETTISYSTEM is the work of Julie Ho and Nicholas Anderson, based in Brooklyn they use really simple materials like cardboard, tissue paper and shiny silk to hand-make piñatas, garlands and other party goodness. It all feels like seriously grown up fun.
All photos courtesy of CONFETTISYSTEM.
The silver pinãta is available at Third Drawer Down.
