Caramelised Figs
We just polished off these tasty morsels. Caramelised figs with strawberry infused balsamic vinegar and sprinkled with demerara sugar, served with generous scoops of vanilla bean ice cream. The best part is my nephew Will helped my Mum pick the figs from the family fig tree. I think that's what made them taste so sweet.

Top Shop Cafe
Top Shop has set up a super styley cafe for London Fashion Week. The giant British brand has sponsored tons of shows and released a lot of work by young designers. I can't get enough of exposed bricks and I really love the old school menu. I've been on the hunt for one of these - so far no luck.

Megan Morton's new book....
I am counting down the days until miss Megan Morton's new book 'Home Love' comes out in March. In fact I just pre-ordered my copy! It's no secret that I am a massive fan of Megan's work and Megan herself. Apart from being so ridiculously amazing at what she does, she is just one of the nicest people I have ever been lucky to work with. She has been so incredibly generous with her time and advice - I feel dizzy with inspiration from every conversation.
Megan's new book Home Love "will turn the frustrations of interior decorating into moments of creative triumph". Love it.
Pre-order your copies now people...

Inspiration
This is my inspiration for my new project. I want to go back to classic, beautiful and lovingly crafted structures.

London Transport Museum
I was very happy to see an email this morning from Simon Murphy the curator at the London Transport Museum. Simon is working on a section of an exhibition about the Shoreditch/Brick Lane area. The wider exhibition is about a new railway line which passes nearby, but he is focussing on local culture and identity along the line.
As an ex-resident of the area I was stoked when Simon requested to use one of my photos in his exhibition. "The photo sums up Brick Lane very well" Simon says.
So, as someone who gets London-sick from time to time - I am really happy to be involved in a very, very, very small way in the Brick Lane community.Image: Claire Larritt-Evans

New home
It made sense to move over here to a larritt-evans blog - so much of what I do these days is under the Larritt-Evans banner. So welcome to my new home.
