A palette of goodness

Thanks to London based designer Nina Tolstrap I now know how to turn unloved and discarded palettes into showroom worthy furniture. Tolstrap sells (for only 10GBP) downloadable instructions from her studiomama website, as part of her sustainable and socially conscious design practise - Palette Project. Tolstrap notes in her instructions that the use of palettes in industry is on the rise between 2o-40% a year. Apart from the obvious green bonus points in re-using existing materials, the best part is if you keep an eye out, the palettes won't cost you a thing, they can often be found abandoned on the side of the road.

I have instructions on hand - and with the Easter long weekend ahead I am keen for a bit of DYI (and to finally have some outdoor furniture).
